270 Win., 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a '60s - '70s made rifle built on a Firearms International branded and marked FN Supreme action ('98 Mauser), drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The rifle has a chrome-vanadium mid-weight barrel with hooded front sight ramp, and an Armstrong adjustable micrometer rear sight. The rifle retains 97-98% of the original blue finish with some very mild silvering at the muzzle and some mild freckling on the brightly finished, swept-back bolt handle. The bolt is fitted with what looks like a replacement safety that is numbered differently than the rest of the rifle (“5229”).The walnut stock has checkered forend and pistol grip with swooping, high comb Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and checkered black plastic buttplate with white line spacer. The rifle is equipped with QD swivel studs that are anchored by two lozenge-shaped white resin inlays along the belly of the stock.A servicable but moderately flaked period leather sling is fitted. This is a nice sporting FN Mauser that could benefit greatly by the addition of some quality optics and is chambered in a benchmark North American caliber.FFL Firearms International FN Supreme Mauser Sporting Rifle 270 Winchester
